Adriana Cecilia Páez Pino currently holds the post of Dean of the School of Exact Sciences and Engineering at the Universidad Sergio Arboleda in Bogotá, Colombia. She also serves as the President of the Latin American Latin American and Caribbean Consortium of Engineering Institutions (LACCEI) .

She received her undergraduate degree in Electronics Engineering from Santo Tómás University in Bogotá, with a specialization in Administration and Management in Quality Systems from ICONTEC-USTA (Bogotá), as well as a specialization in Telecommunications Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain) , masters (magister) in Economics with a specialization in Administration from Santo Tómás University in Bogotá, was a PhD candidate in Telecommunications Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain) and received her Doctorate in Education with a specialty in Pedagogical Measurement from the University of La Salle in San José, Costa Rica.

Pino has experience in the academic and administrative field, achievements and professional satisfactions obtained in administrative positions with significant responsibility concerning academic processes and university management and experience in the management of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. At Santo Tomas University, she has held leadership positions including Director of Laboratories, Vice Dean of Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications, Founding Director of the Department of Basic Sciences and Dean of the Faculty of Electronics Engineering. At Sergio Arboleda University, Pino has served as Vice Dean of Engineering and as Dean of Engineering and Basic Sciences of the Los Libertadores University Foundation in Bogotá, Colombia.

She has actively participated in different national and international networks, contributing to the strengthening of initiatives and agreements. She contributed to the creation of the Network of Electronic Engineering Faculties REDIE, where she was President and Vice President. She has received several accolades, including the Best Dean of 2014 nomination from the University of Santo Tomás and the Military Medal “San Gabriel” Unique Category, in recognition and testimony to the efficient services provided to military communications.


Adriana Cecilia Páez Pino currently holds the position of Dean of the School of Exact Sciences and Engineering of the Sergio Arboleda University Bogotá-Colombia and President of LACCEI.

In his undergraduate degree he graduated as an Electronic Engineer from the Santo Tómás Bogotá University, with a specialization in Administration and Management in Quality Systems, ICONTEC-USTA (Bogotá), as well as a Telecommunications Engineering Specialist from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain) , Master in Economic Sciences with a specialty in Administration from the Santo Tómás Bogotá University, candidate for a Doctor in Telecommunications Engineering, from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain), Doctorate in Education with a Specialty in Pedagogical Measurement, from the University of La Salle, San José de Costa Rica.

With experience in the academic-administrative field, with professional achievements and satisfactions obtained in positions of high responsibility in administration of academic processes and university management, with experience in directing undergraduate and postgraduate programs at the Universidad Santo Tomás, holding positions as Director of Laboratories, Vice Dean of Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications, Founding Director of the Department of Basic Sciences and Dean of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering; at the Sergio Arboleda University (Bogotá), she served as Vice Dean of Engineering; Also as Dean of Engineering and Basic Sciences of the Fundación Universitaria Los Libertadores Bogotá – Colombia, she has participated as a leader in formal processes for qualified registrations and accreditation of academic programs,

Active participation in different national and international networks, contributing to the strengthening of initiatives and agreements. She contributed to the creation of the REDIE Network of Electronic Engineering Faculties of which she was President and Vice President.

Among the recognitions obtained the nomination Best Dean 2014, from the Santo Tomás University, he also obtained the Military Medal “San Gabriel” Unique Category, in recognition and testimony to the efficient services provided to military communications,
