Vural is currently the Dean of Engineering Faculty at Tishk International University, Erbil since 2016. He got diploma in Computer Engineering and studied Computer Science Education in his master’s. He returned back to Computer Engineering with his Ph.D. study and focused microarrays in bioinformatics to understand cancer. Nowadays, he is fully devoted to Engineering Education and continues his studies in Data Science.

Halit Vural was born in Izmir, a city in Turkiye. He received his B.sci. degree in Computer Engineering from Yildiz Teknik University in Istanbul. He completed his M.Sci. degree in Computer Science Education at Korea University in Seoul, Republic of South Korea. He finished his Ph.D. study in Machine Learning for Cancer Research at International Burch University in Sarajevo, Bosnia And Herzegovina. His studies are focused on feature selection in Data Science. He is interested in cancer research using microarray gene expression data, and feature selection in Bioinformatics. He also continues doing research in Data Science in diverse areas such as Big Data.a
